Circular Resourcing are recruiting for a Lead Commercial/Project Manager to support several key development projects heading into pre-feed/feed stage through to approvals. This is a pivotal and senior hire within the team. London (hybrid)
Expected Salary: £95,000 - £120,000k DOE plus bonus and benefits
Reporting into the Director for Development, the Lead Commercial Project Manager will lead projects – from origination through to ready to sell, working closely with the Technical Project Manager.
Key responsibilities:
- All commercial aspects of projects – power supply agreements, offtake agreements, low-carbon hydrogen agreements or SAF RCM agreements (administered by LCCC), CO2 supply and exclusivity agreements – and the overall project management of the delivery;
- Work with the Technical PM to support delivery of the technical development workstreams critical to the success of the projects: managing utility, planning and permitting interfaces as well as the technical integration with CO2 sources and technology partners;
- Understanding the technical development aspects and procurement activities of the project and how they interact with and impact on commercial workscopes, timelines and successful project delivery;
- Management of all relevant stakeholders across the JV and commercial workscopes;
- Support Director of Development in project financing/funding efforts and work collaboratively within the project to ensure all commercial agreements are appropriate for the best financing solutions;
- Interfacing with government bodies as part of subsidy and policy discussions as well as supporting the Development Director in negotiations;
- In cooperation with the JV, develop project budgets – DEVEX and CAPEX – and be responsible for delivering against budget;
- Understanding of UK Hydrogen and e-Fuel policy environment, including hydrogen derivative policies;
- Actively support offtaker and project origination work as well as market and competitor analyses.
Experience required:
- Excellent project management skills with a good understanding of the steps and governance involved in developing and delivering process engineering projects;
- Demonstrated experience in negotiating commercial agreements, offtake contracts, contract structuring, price structuring and origination, PPAs;
- An understanding of power markets is not crucial but an understanding of “molecules” sector, i.e., natural gas, hydrogen and hydrogen derivatives is highly desired;
- Strong project management skills with a good understanding of the steps and governance involved in developing and delivering chemical/process engineering projects;
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills with a focus on our internal and external customers;
- Specific experience in e-fuels and hydrogen is desirable as well as knowledge of the hydrogen/hydrogen-derivative market and familiarity with different end-use cases.
