About the role

If you want to make a difference working with the largest names in pharmaceuticals and at the frontier of pharmaceutical marketing and educational content generation, read on. Circuit Medical is transforming how pharmaceutical companies generate educational and marketing content. Our leading platform is already being used at numerous leading pharmaceutical companies. We’re looking for leading AI Engineers who can take real-world customer and market requirements and turn them into working, scalable products; fast. You’ll own the full journey from prototype to scalable, production-grade systems. The level of role e.g. Principal, Senior will be dependent on candidate experience.

What we need

  • Someone who is equally comfortable whiteboarding an agentic architecture, scaling prototypes, and shipping the code behind it.
  • You live at the intersection of R&D and product delivery, and you’re motivated by building products and features that scale and demonstrate returns, and not just those that demo well.

Your job

  • Translate customer and market requirements into AI-powered product features, swiftly moving from concept to working software.
  • Design and build agentic architectures using LLMs: from single-agent workflows to multi-agent systems.
  • Lead on R&D cycles: research new approaches, prototype rapidly, evaluate rigorously, and ship what works in a rapid timeframe.
  • Build scalable, production-ready systems: not throwaway prototypes.
  • Collaborate across product, engineering, and commercial teams to ensure what you build solves real problems.
  • Ship improvements continuously, driven by data and user feedback.

You should be

  • Someone who can demonstrate experience with LLMs, AI agents, and agentic design patterns e.g. tool use, RAG, planning, orchestration.
  • Able to translate requirements into clear technical direction, and then execute on it.
  • Genuinely curious: you read papers, run experiments, and stay close to the frontier.
  • Entrepreneurial: you treat each challenge as an opportunity to shine and are tenacious.
  • Motivated by building unique, scalable products that demonstrate impact in a real-world setting.
  • Resilient and comfortable operating with ambiguity; you don’t wait for perfect specs, but continuously ask questions and offer improvements.
  • Independent and self-driven, and a strong collaborator.
  • Driven by customer feedback and customer centricity.
  • Able to demonstrate at least 5 years’ experience in similar roles.

Stack

  • Python, React, data engineering pipelines, implements evals to drive robust product performance understanding, API integrations, CI/CD, AWS cloud infrastructure experience.
  • Bonus: experience deploying models in different languages, working to ISO27001 ISMS standards, experience with biotech/pharma.

This role isn’t for you if…

  • You need a fully defined roadmap before you start building.
  • You prefer deep specialisation in one narrow area over breadth and ownership.
  • You’re looking for a slow, predictable environment.

What we offer

  • Competitive salary and benefits.
  • Opportunities for professional growth.
  • Flexible work hours and remote work.
  • Collaborative, inclusive work environment.
  • Chance to work on cutting-edge AI technologies with real-world impact.

Selection process

  • Screening interview with HR.
  • Introductory interview with hiring manager/technical exercise.
  • Capability interview with CEO/team members.
