We are looking for an outstanding Chief Executive Officer to lead Circomedia into its next chapter, continuing our mission to create and nurture the next generation of contemporary circus in Bristol, the UK and globally, while making world-class circus experiences accessible to all.
Circomedia is a place where curiosity, creativity, and community come together through a shared love of circus and physical theatre.
Every day we see the transformative impact of our work: from two-year-olds discovering circus with their grownups, to adults finding connection and confidence, and aspiring artists developing their craft in our internationally-renowned Academy.
As an Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation, we are proud of the breadth and quality of what we do.
Our programmes span youth and community participation, accredited training and higher education, creating pathways that enable people to progress from complete beginner to professional artist.
At the same time, we are ambitious about reaching new audiences, deepening our impact and ensuring that circus continues to inspire, challenge and connect communities.
This is an exciting moment to join us.
Our next Chief Executive Officer will inherit an organisation with an outstanding reputation, exceptional people and a clear sense of purpose, and will lead Circomedia into the next chapter of its journey.
While the arts, education and charity sectors face significant challenges, new partnerships and opportunities give us a renewed chance to strengthen our impact and build a sustainable future for contemporary circus and physical theatre in the South West and beyond.
As a Board, we are seeking a Chief Executive who combines strategic vision with curiosity, commercial acumen and social purpose, with the confidence to lead collaboratively and drive the organisation forward.
Someone who will champion our artistic excellence, nurture our talented team, build strong partnerships and work closely with us to shape the next chapter of Circomedia’s story.
If this sounds like you, we’d be delighted to hear from you!
