Circle Health Group Decontamination is responsible for the provision of sterile equipment and instrumentation for use in surgical and interventional procedures in hospitals across England and Glasgow.
The unit operates 24 hours a day/7 days a week with rotating shifts covering days and nights as required.
We have an opportunity for a Sterile Services Technician to join their team of staff in the Decontamination department.
This is a Full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern. Candidates must be available to work between 23:00 - 07:00.
Duties of this role include
- You provide a first-class decontamination sterile service to the Operating Theatres, clinical departments and relevant paramedical departments.
- You assist in the provision of decontamination, checking, assembly, packing, sterilisation and delivery of medical and surgical equipment and sundry items to/for the customer.
- You maintain good working relationships with all customers.
- You promote and maintain Health & Safety within the department.
- You ensure all equipment is maintained to the required standard of safety, reporting any faults to Team leader/Manager.
- You assist the Team Leaders in liaising with departments to ensure supply of items is maintained.
- You maintain the accepted Health & Safety requirements for the protection of staff and visitors.
- You comply with all relevant mandatory training.
