We have an opportunity for a Health and Safety Cluster Advisor to join their team of staff in the Health & Safety department.
This is a full- time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern, covering sites located within our South East London Cluster
Duties of this role include
- You give clear advice to Senior Management Teams (SMTs) in your cluster of sites, on compliance with obligations under applicable legislation, guidance and policies and actively assist and support with its implementation.
- You can help demonstrate an appropriate level of compliance with relevant health and safety standards to CHG's regulators, i. e., the CQC, HIS, HIW, HSE, EA, local government agents and other stakeholders as required.
- You effectively collaborate and communicate with the HSCL on meeting objectives to improve health and safety performance, consistency and compliance across your shared cluster sites.
- You cooperate and coordinate in achieving the designated H&S time allocation (attendance) for each site in your cluster with the HSCL.
- You assist in identifying and sharing lessons learned following incidents in your cluster of sites
- You contribute where required to corporate projects and initiatives e. g. CHG policies and procedural development, research, training etc.
- You escape intolerable H&S risks to the Operational Manager/Director and make practicable recommendations for improvement
Applicants should meet the following criteria
- 3 years' minimum experience in Operational Health & Safety
- Level 3 qualification in H&S Management
- H&S professional registration (IOSH) or willingness to apply for professional registration.
- Fire safety skills.
- Competency as a Risk Assessor.
- Contractor safety management skills.
- RCA / Incident investigation skills.
- Experience undertaking audits.
