As a Regional Sales Director for CircleCI's EMEA team, you are a bold, outcomes-driven, first line Sales leader with a deep understanding of our platform and a passion for developing high-performing sales talent. In this role, you will lead a team of Account Executives focused on sourcing, developing, and closing new business across the region. You'll scale a healthy pipeline, uplevel sales excellence, and drive predictable revenue growth within a fast-moving and strategic market.
This is a hybrid role, requiring some in office attendance weekly in London, UK.
What You'll Do:
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of AEs across prospecting, deal strategy, and closing.
- Hire and onboard AEs focused on opening new logos, customer expansion, renewal, and managing complex deal cycles.
- Set quotas, forecast pipeline/revenue, and ensure consistent delivery against targets.
- Build and prioritise pipeline using our sales tech stack.
- Partner with Customer Success leadership to align on handover, onboarding, expansion opportunities, and value realisation.
- Coach the team through the full sales lifecycle (discovery ā POC ā negotiation ā close).
- Strengthen AE skills using data, insights, and modern sales methodologies.
- Collaborate with Sales Engineering, Customer Success, and Product to support deals.
- Represent field insights to internal leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Maintain accurate reporting and sales hygiene across systems.
- Join customer meetings and regional events; travel ~15%.
- Suggest process improvements based on team feedback and market trends.
- Use customer feedback to inform potential product enhancements.
- Ensure compliance with legal, finance, and internal sales processes.
- Foster a high-trust, transparent team culture grounded in integrity.
- Monitor market trends and identify new regional opportunities.
What You'll Bring:
- 5+ years SaaS sales experience, incl. enterprise selling and complex deal cycles.
- 2+ years leading a high-performing sales team required.
- Track record as a top performer and as a leader developing top performers.
- Curiosity for DevOps and comfort discussing technical concepts with engineers.
- Familiarity with Challenger, Command of the Message, MEDDPICC or similar frameworks.
- Strong proficiency with modern sales tools (HubSpot, Outreach, Gong, 6sense, ZoomInfo).
- Experience selling to senior technical leaders (CTO, VP Eng, Platform/DevOps leads).
- Proven collaboration with Customer Success to drive adoption and outcomes.
- Strong people leadership, communication, and coaching abilities.
- Skilled negotiator able to guide teams to consistently high close rates.
- Highly organised with strong prioritisation and timeāmanagement skills.
- Bonus: experience selling developer tooling to engineering teams.
Compensation:
Base salary range Ā£108,000.00 - Ā£135,000.00 + performance bonus. This role is eligible for a performanceābased bonus tied to team quota achievement. Pay mix is approximately targeted at [50/50] base to variable.
