Our client is a dynamic leader in the high-growth flexible office market. They have strong experience in the commercial property industry, offering a wide range of services, including serviced and managed office spaces, as well as brokerage. They are now looking for a Finance Transformation Specialist to join on a contract basis to assist them.

This role requires an experienced Finance Transformation Specialist (Systems Accountant) who can lead the redesign and optimisation of financial processes to improve efficiency, compliance, and scalability. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in mapping existing workflows, conducting deep-dive gap analyses, and architecting re-engineered processes aligned with ERP capabilities and organisational strategy. This is a hands-on role for a detail-focused problem solver who thrives in dynamic environments and knows how to bring structure, insight, and automation to financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process Mapping & Evaluation: Capture and visualise current-state financial workflows across key functions (AP, AR, Debt, Direct Debits, Trial Balance, Management Accounts, Balance Sheet Reconciliations, Payroll and reporting functions).
  • Analyse interdependencies, bottlenecks, and manual interventions impacting performance and compliance.
  • Gap Analysis & Insight Generation: Identify inefficiencies in systems architecture, team capabilities, reporting structures, and data flows.
  • Translate findings into actionable transformation roadmaps with measurable KPIs.
  • Design and implement future-state processes that increase accuracy, reduce processing time, and eliminate duplication.
  • Align redesigned workflows with NetSuite, leveraging automation opportunities and scalable solutions.
  • Lead documentation and SOP creation for all re-engineered processes, ensuring control and consistency.
  • Systems Integration & Reporting: Collaborate with the Net Suite Consultant to validate and embed new processes and enhance reporting capabilities.
  • Serve as the systems expert on process optimisation, championing a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Support upskilling across the finance team by sharing process knowledge and technical best practice.
  • Drive improvements in system data integrity, reporting accuracy, and turnaround efficiency.
Candidate Requirements:
  • 5-10 years' experience in systems accounting or finance transformation roles, with proven project delivery across SMEs or multi-entity environments.
  • Demonstrated success in leading finance optimisation programmes, including process redesign and ERP enhancements.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, and compliance requirements.
  • Experienced in change management, and user training during transformation initiatives.
