Our client is a leading investment and transaction advisory firm specialising in the Healthcare, life sciences and pharmaceuticals industries. They are now looking for a Head of M&A to take charge of their expanding M&A practice. You will direct strategic deal-making, guiding clients through complex transactions within the healthcare and biotechnology sectors.
Responsibilities:
- Deal Origination: Develop and nurture extensive relationships with key decision-makers in the life sciences industry. Identify, cultivate, and execute on highly promising M&A opportunities.
- Transaction Leadership: Oversee all stages of the M&A process, from valuation and due diligence to negotiation and closing. Provide meticulous financial analysis and modelling support.
- Strategic Insight: Maintain an in-depth pulse on the healthcare M&A landscape. Advise clients on market trends, regulatory developments, and potential deal structures.
- Client Management: Maintain strong rapport with existing clients and actively develop new business to expand the firm's reach.
Candidate Requirements:
- A minimum of 7-10+ years of experience in investment banking or corporate development with a strong emphasis on M&A transactions ideally within the Healthcare / life sciences sector.
- Outstanding communication skills with the capacity to forge and maintain strong relationships with C-suite executives and industry figures.
- In-depth knowledge of the pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and/or medical device landscapes.
- Demonstrated mastery of the complexities of mergers and acquisitions, including deal structuring, negotiation, and financial modelling.
