Our client, a well-established real estate investor with a large, complex and prestigious portfolio of high-quality mixed-use assets across Europe, is looking for a French speaking experienced real estate professional to take the role of Associate Director within the European Real Estate team as a dedicated Asset Manager for a core European portfolio. The position will be based in London and will report to senior leadership within the European Real Estate platform.
The team manages a diverse, multi-sector portfolio across multiple European geographies, operating under a broad investment mandate with a primary focus on direct investments across all major asset classes, alongside select fund investments. The portfolio comprises a blend of long-term hold assets and investments across a range of strategies, themes and jurisdictions.
The role will involve day-to-day asset management responsibility for a high-quality mixed-use portfolio in a major European market, working closely with local third-party partners and requiring regular travel. In addition to direct portfolio responsibilities, the role will provide input and oversight across the wider European platform, supporting asset management initiatives as required. This position offers a balance of hands-on asset management, strategic portfolio involvement and development oversight, providing a high level of autonomy and influence within an institutional investment environment.
Responsibilities- Act as a senior representative for our client within a key European market and across the wider European platform
- Set and execute asset-level strategies, including leasing, development and long-term value creation
- Contribute to portfolio-level strategy and support the ongoing development of internal asset management capabilities
- Lead leasing and marketing activity with external agents, working closely with local third-party asset managers
- Oversee mixed-use redevelopment projects, managing external development teams and professional advisers
- Represent the client on leasing and re-leasing negotiations
- Prepare and manage asset-level business plans, valuations and capital expenditure proposals
- Liaise with internal finance, legal and compliance teams
- Deliver clear, high-quality reporting to senior stakeholders
- 10+ years’ experience in asset management and redevelopment
- Fluent French
- Strong knowledge of the French real estate market
- Experience across multiple asset classes
- Strong financial and commercial capability
