An established and expanding information security consultancy is looking to appoint a Cyber Security Consultant to support a growing portfolio of client engagements across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity for someone fairly early in their cyber or information security career (not entry level) who wants exposure to a wide range of security disciplines, client environments and real-world challenges. The role offers strong development support, varied project work and clear progression. Candidates must be UK-based, with full right to work in the UK without sponsorship.

The role:

  • You will work alongside experienced consultants delivering practical, business-focused security services to clients ranging from fast-growing SMEs to large, complex organisations.
  • Depending on your background and interests, your work may include:
    • Reviewing security maturity against recognised good practice
    • Supporting Cyber Essentials preparation and assessments
    • Developing and testing incident response plans
    • Carrying out tabletop and simulated incident exercises
    • Assessing and improving supply chain security
    • Advising on secure application and software development
    • Contributing to physical security testing activities
    • Delivering security awareness sessions
    • Completing risk assessments and threat modelling
    • Writing and reviewing security policies and governance documentation

Experience required:

  • 2+ years experience in information or cyber security
  • Previous consultancy experience with the ability to engage effectively with clients/customers and understand their requirements
  • Ability to simplify complex topics and offer practical, grounded advice
  • An understanding of ISO 27001, GDPR, or broader information-security concepts/frameworks
  • Are comfortable engaging with clients and stakeholders
  • Curious, self-directed, and motivated to work towards further industry certifications
  • Someone who enjoys solving problems, not just following checklists
  • UK-based, with full right to work in the UK without sponsorship
