An established professional services organisation based in South Manchester is seeking an IT Support Technician to join its internal IT team. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1st and 2nd line IT support via telephone, email, and onsite assistance
  • Create and manage user accounts, permissions, and passwords
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and general infrastructure issues
  • Support and maintain desktop environments, printers, and telecommunications equipment
  • Assist with system monitoring, backups, and antivirus maintenance
  • Support onboarding processes for new employees, including IT setup and user guidance
  • Liaise with third-party suppliers and internal departments to resolve technical issues
  • Maintain accurate records of IT assets, including hardware, software, and mobile devices

Requirements

  • Previous experience within an IT support or helpdesk environment
  • Good working knowledge of:
    • Windows Server
    • Active Directory
    • DHCP
    • Office 365
    • Windows desktop operating systems
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Professional communication and customer service abilities
  • Well organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Any experience supporting business applications would be advantageous
