We are currently looking for a Commercial Strategic Lead for our government client. This role is hybrid, based between a minimum of 2 days per week on site in London, and the remainder of the week working remotely. There is no further flexibility with expected time on site, or the office locations. The contract for this position is until 31st March 2027, with potential to extend, operating inside IR35.
Security Clearance: Security Check ('SC Clearance')
Essential Skills / Experience required:
- Experience developing commercial strategies and policies from complex analytical evidence.
- Strong project management and strategic coordination skills across multiple stakeholders and workstreams.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including building relationships with senior industry and government partners.
Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge of defence supply chains, critical minerals or global economic security issues.
Role / Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership across the project, bringing together value chain mapping outputs, industry insights and policy proposals into coherent commercial strategies to strengthen supply chain resilience.
- Drive and coordinate the development of commercial policies into coherent sector strategies, ensuring they complement wider organisation and national economic security objectives.
- Build and maintain senior relationships across industry to align efforts and secure feedback and support for policy proposals.
- Provide a strategic overview of programme delivery, helping translate complex analysis into clear decisions and actionable outcomes.
