A School IT Technician is required by a UK Leading MSP to support four sites across Leeds. The School IT Technician will have strong networking, Windows (10/11) and previous IT support experience working in schools, maintaining and troubleshooting a range of IT systems and networks. As the IT School Technician, you must hold a valid DBS check due to the nature of the work across educational environments.
Key Skills & Experience Required:
- Previous IT Support experience in schools is essential
- Excellent experience with Windows 10/11, Active Directory, Group Policy and Office 365
- Proficient networking experience covering Switches, Routers, LAN/WAN and Wi-Fi issues
- Experience with virtual servers (VMWare, vSphere etc.) is highly desirable
- Good mobile device management experience - iOS/Apple/Android
- Excellent stakeholder management experience and the ability to explain technical terms to non-technical people.
On alternating days, you will have the opportunity to shadow 3rd-line engineers, giving you hands-on exposure to new technologies and a clear path for professional development. This position offers the chance to broaden your technical skill set and play a key role in enhancing the operation and reliability of school IT networks, improving user experience across both new and existing technologies as well as career progression towards 3rd line, cloud engineering or team lead positions.
