Pathology Coordinator role in the pathology department. This is a full-time position for 37.5 hours per week with a flexible shift pattern. Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day coordination of pathology services, ensuring timely and accurate processing of diagnostic tests.
- Liaise with internal departments and external laboratories to manage test requests, collections, and result reporting.
- Act as the first point of contact for pathology-related queries from clinical staff, consultants, and laboratory providers.
- Ensure results are communicated promptly to the appropriate clinical teams, escalating abnormal or urgent results as necessary.
- Ensure adherence to sample handling protocols, infection prevention standards, and relevant health and safety procedures.
- Support audit processes, incident reporting, and implementation of service improvement actions.
Qualifications
