Senior Radiographer opportunity in the Imaging department. This is a full time role for 37.5 hours per week with a flexible shift pattern.

Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in the efficient and safe operation of the Imaging Department, providing a consistent, high-quality service to all patients and visitors.
  • Carry out general and specialised radiographic procedures within your scope of competence as agreed with the Clinical Services Manager - Imaging / Clinical Lead to high technical and quality standards, assessing patients and interpreting clinical requirements to determine appropriate radiographic techniques.
  • Undertake imaging examinations in line with department procedures and policies, using techniques that minimize radiation dose while producing high-quality, diagnostic images.
  • Practice good radiation protection and safety and observe Local Rules and Systems of Work.
  • Comply with departmental IRMER and Radiation Safety Policies & Procedures.
  • Participate in supervision, training and peer review within your area of competence / expertise.
  • Be capable of I.V. contrast injections if required.

Qualifications

  • A Degree or Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography.
  • HCPC registration (or eligible for registration).
  • A general radiographic background / training.
  • IT systems familiarity (e.g., RIS / PACS).
  • Awareness of the College of Radiographers and HCPC Code of Conduct / Accountability.
  • Knowledge of Radiation Regulations.
  • Successful completion of an approved Cannulation course.
  • Successful completion of Circle Health Group PGD training and compliance with the associated PGD.
  • Minimum 2 years CT/MRI experience.
