Circle Health Group Decontamination is responsible for the provision of sterile equipment and instrumentation for use in surgical and interventional procedures in hospitals across England and Glasgow. The unit operates 24 hours a day/7 days a week with rotating shifts covering days and nights as required. We have an opportunity for a Housekeeper to join their team of staff in the Decontamination department. This is a part time role for 20 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern including 4 hour shifts on evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake in the day-to-day cleaning of patient, public and employee areas
  • Maintain a safe and pleasant environment for patients, visitors and Circle Health Group employees
  • Replenish linen and consumables
  • Provide flexibility to work in all departments (including Theatre areas) and at other Circle Health Group sites where appropriate and as requested
  • Complete daily task sheets and submit to the Housekeeper Lead on a daily basis for auditing purposes
  • Comply with all relevant mandatory training

Qualifications

  • Competency in literacy and numeracy
  • Good communication skills
  • Maths, English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence
  • Proficiency in the use of a PC, including the use of software and systems
