The predicted salary is between 46000 - 52000 £ per year.
This is a full‑time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.
Duties
- Lead the delivery of high‑quality, patient‑centred care across the perioperative pathway, acting as a specialist or functional lead within the team.
- Ensure that all patient safety checks, including WHO surgical safety processes, are carried out in accordance with hospital policy.
- Provide day‑to‑day leadership and supervision for theatre practitioners and support staff, fostering a culture of professionalism, compassion, and accountability.
- Support the development and assessment of competencies within the team, promoting continuous professional development.
- Act as an advocate for patients, ensuring their rights, safety, and dignity are upheld at all times.
- Raise concerns where standards of care or safeguarding protocols are not met, in line with Circle Health Group policy.
Applicants should meet the following criteria
- NMC or HCPC registered practitioner with significant experience in a theatre environment (e.g. scrub, recovery, or anaesthetics).
- Demonstrated clinical leadership experience and ability to act as a role model to peers.
- Strong understanding of patient safety protocols, safeguarding, infection control, and clinical governance.
- Scrub Practitioner or Surgical First Assistant qualification [for scrub leads].
- ENB 998 and/or mentorship course.
- Approved / recognised anaesthetic course.
- Must have experience in Endoscopy and JAG.
