We have an opportunity for a Clinical Skills Trainer - Registered Practitioner to join their team of staff in the Training department. This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.
Duties of this role include:
- Deliver structured classroom-based training, practical ward-based training, and simulation sessions across several hospital sites.
- Provide structured support and supervision to clinical staff, students and newly qualified clinicians ensuring safe practice, professional growth and alignment with professional standards.
- Provide one-to-one and group support for staff undertaking training, apprenticeships, or return-to-practice programmes.
- Encourage participation in education and training programmes to maximise engagement and completion rates.
- Assist with education-related quality audits and evaluations.
- Maintain own clinical competence to remain a credible teacher and role model.
- Maintain own educational development and promote innovative learning approaches using new technology and media.
Requirements:
- Registered Health Care Professional with current professional registration.
- Significant clinical experience relevant to the role.
- IT literate with the ability to use various systems and programmes including Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience delivering clinical skills training and supporting learning in practice.
- Ability to assess clinical competence and provide constructive feedback.
- Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
