The Highfield Hospital in Rochdale is part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country. We have an opportunity for a Senior Physiotherapist to join their team of staff in the Physiotherapy department. This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis. You will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence. This post is for a Senior Inpatient Orthopaedic Physiotherapist to work one weekend a month on our weekend rota. An enhancement is paid for weekends.

Duties of this role include:

  • Independently assess and treat patients with more complex needs across inpatient or outpatient settings.
  • Develop individualised treatment plans using a variety of physiotherapy techniques to optimise recovery, function, and independence.
  • Act as a point of contact for junior physiotherapists, therapy assistants, and students, offering guidance and informal supervision.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and professional clinical records in line with HCPC, CSP, and local policy.
  • Adhere to all governance procedures including health and safety, infection prevention, and safeguarding.
  • Demonstrate commitment to ongoing CPD and reflective practice to support your development as a senior clinician.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • HCPC-registered Physiotherapist.
  • Solid post-registration experience across a range of clinical areas.
  • Strong clinical reasoning and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Commitment to team working and service improvement.
