We have an opportunity for a Porter to join our team in the Portering department.
This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis, where you will supplement staffing during busy periods and cover for staff absences.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Maths and English GCSEs at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence
- Proficient in using a PC, including software and systems
- Front-line customer-facing experience
- Previous portering experience in healthcare, hotel, or hospitality settings is preferred
Duties include:
- Providing portering services to support clinical and non-clinical functions, ensuring high service standards for patients and departments
- Responding to operational needs, including deployment in various areas and shifts
- Handling tasks like patient, equipment, and goods movement (e.g., pharmacy goods)
- Explaining hospital facilities and services to patients and visitors
