Billing Associate Circle Business Services - Glasgow 37.5 Hours & Permanent Salary: Up to £25,206.00 per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)
Circle Business Services is part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country.
We have an opportunity for a Billing Associate to join their team of staff.
This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week.
The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.
Duties
- Produce accurate and timely invoices for patients, consultants, insurers and NHS organisations in accordance with contractual agreements and organisational policies.
- Ensure invoices are processed correctly, applying agreed charging structures, tariffs and billing rules.
- Review and verify billing information to ensure accuracy before invoices are issued.
- Process invoice amendments, adjustments and credit notes where appropriate.
- Monitor billing activities to ensure service level agreements and billing deadlines are consistently achieved.
- Support accurate revenue recognition through timely and compliant billing processes.
- Applicants should meet the following criteria
- Experience working in a finance, billing, accounts receivable, customer service or business services environment.
- Experience working with stakeholders at all levels of an organisation.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to manage queries professionally and effectively.
- Good technology skills, including experience using financial systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
- Ability to manage workload effectively, prioritise competing demands and meet deadlines.
- Good numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience working within healthcare, private healthcare or NHS finance environments.
- Knowledge of healthcare billing processes, NHS contracts or private medical insurance billing.
- Experience using financial management or patient administration systems.
- Understanding of invoice production, exception reporting and query resolution processes.
- Knowledge of data protection, confidentiality and financial governance requirements.
- Experience supporting process improvement or finance transformation initiatives.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including basic reporting and data analysis.
