Thornbury Hospital, Sheffield, is part of Circle Health Group, a leading provider of independent healthcare. This bank role is scheduled on an "as and when required" basis. You will supplement staffing levels during busy periods and cover colleagues during annual leave or absence. You must be available: Mon‑Fri 06:30‑21:00, Sundays 09:00‑17:00.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the smooth running of the patient administrative process throughout the patient journey.
  • Ensure that the Circle Health Group best practice process maps are followed to provide an efficient, professional, standard service to all patients, visitors, consultants and staff.
  • Handle all patient queries efficiently and professionally.
  • Manage all incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Approve electronic bookings received via the relevant system and update any booking received via email.
  • Maintain knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act and ensure appropriate measures for patients, relatives, visitors, staff and contractors.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant mandatory training.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Maths, English GCSE at grades A‑C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence.
  • Proficiency in the use of a PC, including software and systems.
  • Basic financial awareness.
  • Previous administration experience in a private healthcare environment is beneficial.
