Position: Endoscopy Practitioner (Bank) – Thornbury Hospital, Sheffield – Circle Health Group.
Pay: Up to £25.00 per hour, depending on level of experience, training and qualification.
Location: Thornbury Hospital, Sheffield.
About the Role: This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis, supplementing staffing levels during busy periods and providing cover for existing staff during annual leave or absence.
Responsibilities:
- Support the team to deliver care that improves health of individuals and the wider community.
- Demonstrate compassion through effective relationships based on empathy, respect and dignity.
- Develop own competence to deliver effective care and treatments through improving clinical/technical knowledge, skills and expertise.
- Communicate appropriately with others involved in the care of patients.
- Act as an advocate for safeguarding patients, demonstrating courage to speak up when there are concerns about care.
- Demonstrate commitment to improving care and the patient experience.
Qualifications:
- Registered Practitioner with NMC or HCPC registration.
- Basic and advanced competence/qualification in Endoscopy Care and Decontamination.
- Operator’s course in Endoscopy Decontamination.
- Teaching/assessing/mentorship qualifications.
- Knowledge of relevant standards and external bodies (Care Quality Commission, GRS, JAG, HTM 01‑06, ILS).
