Speech and Language Therapist (Bank) Circle Rehabilitation – Birmingham This is a bank role working on an ‘as and when required’ basis, supplementing staffing levels during busy periods and providing cover for staff on annual leave or absence.
Salary: Up to £45.00 per hour (depending on level of experience, training and qualification).
Responsibilities Conduct detailed assessments of speech, language, communication and swallowing functions using a variety of clinical tools and techniques.
Develop and deliver evidence‑based treatment plans tailored to individual patient goals, including communication therapy, voice therapy and dysphagia management.
Collaborate with medical teams, nursing staff, dietitians, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and psychologists to deliver coordinated, patient‑centred care.
Educate patients, families and carers about therapy strategies, communication aids and safe swallowing practices.
Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date clinical documentation in line with HCPC, RCSLT and organisational policies.
Recommend and support the use of alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) tools and resources.
Qualifications BSc (Hons) or MSc in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent).
HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist.
Strong clinical reasoning, communication and problem‑solving skills.
Experience working with communication and/or swallowing disorders.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
