Responsibilities
- Deliver person‑centred care including assistance with personal hygiene, nutrition, mobility, toileting and emotional support.
- Carry out basic clinical tasks such as monitoring vital signs, blood glucose levels and patient observations following training and competency.
- Assist with clinical procedures and prepare equipment and materials.
- Report any changes in a patient’s condition to the nursing team promptly.
- Act as a role model and mentor to junior healthcare assistants, supporting their development and integration into the team.
- Help coordinate the daily allocation of tasks, ensuring care is prioritised appropriately.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
- Experience as a Healthcare Assistant in a hospital or clinical setting.
