We have an opportunity for a Physiotherapist to join our team in the inpatients department. This is a bank role working on an ‘as and when required’ basis, covering busy periods, annual leave or absence. Thursday, Friday and weekend availability highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and manage patients presenting with a variety of musculoskeletal, neurological, respiratory, orthopaedic, or post‑surgical conditions (dependent on setting).
- Formulate individualised treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient goals.
- Use a range of therapeutic techniques, exercise programmes, manual therapy, and patient education to promote recovery and prevent further injury or deterioration.
- Collaborate closely with consultants, nurses, occupational therapists, and other allied health professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, ward rounds, and discharge planning as appropriate.
- Refer patients to other services where required (e.g. hydrotherapy, pain management, or community rehabilitation).
- Manage your own caseload efficiently, working flexibly across inpatient and/or outpatient settings as required.
Qualifications
- BSc (Hons) or MSc in Physiotherapy (or equivalent qualification).
- HCPC registration as a Physiotherapist.
- Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).
- Strong understanding of clinical reasoning, assessment techniques, and evidence‑based practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Time management and organisational skills to manage a varied caseload.
