Physiotherapist (Bank) – The Lancaster Hospital Bank shifts. Salary: Up to £25.00 per hour (depending on level of experience, training and qualification).
The Lancaster Hospital is part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country. This bank role works on an “as and when required” basis to supplement staffing during busy periods and cover for annual leave or absence.
Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and manage patients presenting with musculoskeletal, neurological, respiratory, orthopaedic, or post-surgical conditions (dependent on setting).
- Formulate individualised treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient goals.
- Use a range of therapeutic techniques, exercise programmes, manual therapy, and patient education to promote recovery and prevent further injury or deterioration.
- Collaborate with consultants, nurses, occupational therapists, and other allied health professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, ward rounds, and discharge planning as appropriate.
- Refer patients to other services where required (e.g., hydrotherapy, pain management, or community rehabilitation).
- Manage your own caseload efficiently, flexibly across inpatient and/or outpatient settings as required.
Qualifications & Requirements
- BSc (Hons) or MSc in Physiotherapy (or equivalent qualification).
- HCPC registration as a Physiotherapist.
- Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).
- Strong understanding of clinical reasoning, assessment techniques, and evidence-based practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Time management and organisational skills to manage a varied caseload.
