Diagnostic Imaging Assistant (Bank)

Diagnostic Imaging Assistant position at London Independent Hospital, Stepney Green, part of Circle Health Group.

Bank role working on an “as and when required” basis. Will supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff during annual leave or absence.

Duties

• You work as an integral part of the imaging team, providing a high standard of patient‑centred care, meeting the needs of patients, consultants and colleagues.
• You work within the multi-disciplinary team to deliver care, maintain and enhance the customer service and satisfaction of service users under the supervision of a Registered Practitioner.
• You conduct yourself professionally within the HCA/Imaging Assistants standard framework, understanding the standards in accordance with the Nursing Midwifery Council (NMC) Codes of professional Conduct and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
• You demonstrate competence in the role of Imaging Assistant within the scope of your working areas.
• You work alongside the multi‑disciplinary team to provide safe and high‑quality care provision for patients.
• You comply with all relevant mandatory training.

Qualifications and Experience

• Previous experience in an Imaging or Healthcare Assistant role.
• Experience of customer care, including interacting with customers in challenging situations.
• Care Certificate.
• NVQ Level1 and/or willingness to work towards NVQ Level2 (Healthcare specific) or equivalent.
• Willingness to work towards NVQ Level3 (Healthcare specific) or equivalent.
• Maths, English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level2 evidence.
