Thornbury Hospital in Sheffield is part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country. Circle Health Group has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Registered Nurse to join our friendly and motivated team of staff working in the Outpatients department. This is a full-time role at 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern, including late shifts and Saturdays.
Duties of this role include:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care and lead on the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for complex patients.
- Use advanced clinical knowledge to make timely and appropriate decisions, escalating where necessary.
- Administer medication safely and monitor patient response, ensuring adherence to NMC and local protocols.
- Delegate tasks appropriately, ensuring safe and effective workload management across the shift.
- Uphold a culture of safety by ensuring compliance with infection prevention, safeguarding, medicines management, and risk reporting procedures.
- Act as a key contact for patients and their families, offering clinical updates, reassurance, and information to support shared decision-making.
- Liaise effectively with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and ensure smooth transitions between services.
