Full‑time Radiographer at Droitwich Spa Hospital, Circle Health Group. 37.5 hours per week. Salary up to £37,000 per year, depending on experience, training and qualification.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide range of diagnostic radiographic procedures (e.g., general X‑rays, theatre, fluoroscopy, mobiles) following referral and imaging protocols.
  • Ensure high‑quality images are produced to support accurate diagnosis, minimising the need for repeat exposures.
  • Adapt techniques to meet the needs of individual patients, including paediatrics, bariatrics and patients with limited mobility.
  • Provide a safe, dignified, person‑centred service, ensuring patients are informed, comfortable and reassured throughout their examination.
  • Monitor patients’ conditions during procedures and respond appropriately to any signs of deterioration.
  • Ensure equipment is checked, maintained and used safely and effectively, reporting faults promptly.
  • Assist in the implementation and use of new imaging technologies, techniques and digital systems (e.g., PACS, RIS).
  • Work closely with radiologists, consultants, nurses, porters and admin teams to coordinate care efficiently and maintain smooth patient pathways.

Qualifications

  • BSc (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent qualification.
  • HCPC registration as a Diagnostic Radiographer.
  • Experience in general radiographic techniques and equipment.
  • Good understanding of IR(ME)R, health & safety, infection control and patient confidentiality requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient‑centred approach.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Minimum 2 years post‑graduate experience or additional training in a specialist area (e.g., CT, MRI, theatre imaging, mammography).
