Responsibilities
- Perform general and ad‑hoc tasks such as patient, equipment and goods (e.g., pharmacy goods) movement.
- Explain hospital facilities and services to patients and family members when escorting people to rooms or other hospital areas.
- Provide courteous service to internal and external customers.
- Ensure patient comfort and dignity are always maintained.
- Provide security for the facility as required, ensuring compliance with security processes and external patrols.
- Comply with all relevant mandatory training.
Qualifications & Criteria
- Front‑line customer‑facing experience.
- Previous portering experience in a healthcare, hotel or hospitality setting is beneficial.
- Maths and English GCSE grades A‑C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence.
- Proficiency in the use of a PC, including software and systems.
