Sterile Services Technician Shelburne Hospital 37.5 Hours & Permanent Salary: Up to £25,200.00 per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

The Shelburne Hospital in High Wycombe is part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country.

We have an opportunity for a Sterile Services Technician to join their team of staff in the Decontamination department.

This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week.

The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties of this role include

  • You provide a first-class decontamination sterile service to the Operating Theatres, clinical departments and relevant paramedical departments.
  • You assist in the provision of decontamination, checking, assembly, packing, sterilisation and delivery of medical and surgical equipment and sundry items to/for the customer.
  • You maintain good working relationships with all customers.
  • You promote and maintain Health & Safety within the department.
  • You ensure all equipment is maintained to the required standard of safety, reporting any faults to Team leader/Manager.
  • You assist the Team Leaders in liaising with departments to ensure supply of items is maintained.
  • You maintain the accepted Health & Safety requirements for the protection of staff and visitors.
  • You comply with all relevant mandatory training.
