Registered Nurse - Oncology/Haematology Kings Oak Hospital
30 Hours & Permanent Salary: Up to £35,000.00 per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

We have an opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join their team of staff in the Oncology department. This is a parttime role for 30 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.
Duties of this role include:
- Deliver safe, effective, and individualised nursing care to Oncology and Haematology patients across inpatient, day-case and outpatient settings.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in line with agreed treatment pathways and care plans.
- Support patients undergoing cancer and haematological treatments, including chemotherapy, transfusions, and supportive therapies (where trained).
- Monitor patients for treatment-related side effects, complications, and deterioration, escalating concerns appropriately.
- Provide holistic care that addresses physical, emotional, psychological, and informational needs of patients and their families.
- Administer prescribed treatments and medications in line with local policies, national guidance, and competency frameworks.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Registered Nurse (Adult) with current NMC registration.
- Experience working in an Oncology and/or Haematology setting, or strong demonstrable interest with relevant transferable skills.
- Sound understanding of clinical governance, patient safety, and evidence-based practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support patients in emotionally challenging situations.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Post-registration experience in Oncology, Haematology, or cancer services.
- SACT qualification.
- Experience in private healthcare, acute hospital, or specialist cancer services.
- Evidence of involvement in audits, service improvement, or specialist training.
