Senior Platform Engineer
Fully Remote (UK-based) | £75,000 – £85,000 + Excellent Benefits
Our client is a forward-thinking software provider using cutting-edge technology – including AI – to transform how businesses operate. With a mission to streamline complex systems through intelligent automation, they\’re seeking a talented Platform Engineer to join their remote team and help shape the future of their pioneering platform.
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Lead the deployment and management of infrastructure and applications using ArgoCD, applying GitOps best practices.
- Manage and improve the deployment of shared platform services across Kubernetes clusters.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and refine DevOps processes.
- Deliver ad-hoc DevOps projects to support scalability, automation, and system resilience.
- Act as a technical advisor across platform, infrastructure, and application teams.
- Undertake additional activities and responsibilities as required.
Essential Skills
- Deep experience in DevOps, automation, and infrastructure as code.
- Proficiency in Git and GitOps methodologies.
- Expertise in secrets management tools (e.g., HashiCorp Vault).
- Practical experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, especially in production environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
- Understanding of non-functional testing: performance, scalability, resilience.
- Demonstrable track record in operational reliability and automation.
Desirable
- Familiarity with DataMesh principles and distributed data architecture.
- Experience in fast-paced, technically complex environments.
- Understanding of telecoms industry technologies and standards.
- Experience mentoring and supporting engineers.
- Hands-on proficiency with Golang for scripting or service development.
