A growing Technology Services Provider are looking for an IT School Technician to work across designated schools in and around Milton Keynes and Northampton. You must have excellent experience with Windows 10, Office 365 and Cisco networking technologies maintaining and troubleshooting IT systems and networks.
This position will be 4 days a week (Can look at 5 days a week but on the 5th day would need to be flexible on location). The IT School Technician will need to be DBS checked to work across the different school sites. As the successful IT School support technician, you will need to have knowledge in Windows operating systems and how they work in a local area network environment.
Key Skills the IT School Technician will have:
- Windows Operating Systems - 10/8/7
- Proficient with Active Directory and Office 365
- Ability to explain technical terms and situations to non-technical people
- Experience of maintaining and working with WAN connection
- Cisco networking technologies - switches, routers
- Software backups and licences
- Anti-virus tools
You must have previous IT Support experience in the education sector. You will be responsible for providing onsite IT support for multiple schools, with the school you are assigned being your main place of work. The schedule of this position will also vary, so the IT School Technician will visit up to 4/5 schools a week. The other day you will have the opportunity to shadow 3rd line engineers and learn new technologies. This is a great opportunity to flex your technical skillset in providing solutions to improve the day-to-day running of networks across the schools and enhance user experience through new and existing technologies.
