A senior opportunity for an experienced OT / ICS Cyber Security leader to own, develop and grow an established OT/ICS Cyber Assurance practice. This is a role for someone who has built a cyber service line or practice, developed propositions, won consulting work and led technical teams. You will combine technical leadership with a substantial commercial remit, helping shape strategy, pricing, bids, propositions and growth. The business already has a strong, high-performing cyber security capability, significant customer reach and the resources available to scale quickly. The opportunity is to build a major OT/ICS security and assurance proposition across manufacturing, CNI, enterprise and government customers.
The Role
You will take ownership of the OT/ICS Cyber Assurance service line, defining its proposition, methodology, delivery capability and commercial strategy. You will:
- Own and develop the OT/ICS Cyber Assurance proposition, methodology and safety-first testing standards.
- Build and grow a team of consultants and pod leads, setting technical direction, career pathways and certification plans.
- Develop new OT/ICS products and services, identifying opportunities for growth and cross-sell.
- Lead major OT/ICS security programmes across manufacturing, CNI, energy, utilities, maritime and other operational environments.
- Support and lead bids, proposals, pricing and commercial strategy.
- Develop the labs, tooling and reference environments required for safe OT/ICS testing.
- Maintain hands-on involvement in client engagements and retain strong technical credibility.
Technical Focus
The role will cover a broad range of OT and ICS security and assurance activity, potentially including:
- OT / ICS Cyber Security Assessments, Architecture and Network Security
- Industrial Control Systems, SCADA, DCS and PLC environments
- IEC 62443 Cyber Resilience and Risk, CNI Cyber Security
- OT SOC, Detection and Monitoring
- Cyber Assurance and Regulatory Compliance
What We're Looking For
You will have 10+ years' experience in cyber security, with substantial specialist experience in OT/ICS and a track record of leading people, clients and commercial opportunities. Essential experience includes:
- Extensive hands-on OT/ICS security assessment experience in operational environments.
- Strong understanding of OT/ICS architectures, industrial networks and protocols.
- Working knowledge of IEC 62443 and relevant OT security standards.
- Experience leading technical teams and developing senior consultants.
- Proven involvement in sales, bids, proposals and commercial engagements.
- Experience developing cyber security propositions, services or practice areas.
- The ability to engage confidently with engineers, security professionals, CISOs and executive stakeholders.
- Commercial understanding covering pricing, utilisation, profitability, pipeline and delivery.
- Recognised certification such as GICSP, GRID, IEC 62443 or equivalent.
- Ability to obtain and maintain SC clearance.
- Full UK right to work and unrestricted ability to work across private, enterprise and government clients.
Desirable
- Engineering, process control or industrial automation background.
- OT SOC, detection and monitoring experience.
- Sector experience across energy, utilities, maritime, manufacturing or CNI.
- Experience building a new OT/ICS service line from an early stage.
- Experience driving cross-sell from wider cyber services, including ISO 27001, cyber assurance or assessment services.
- Experience with SCADA, DCS, PLC and industrial protocols such as Modbus, DNP3, OPC, PROFINET or EtherNet/IP.
Why This Role?
This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys building businesses, not simply managing them. You will have the backing of an established cyber security organisation, existing technical capability and the resources to scale quickly. In return, you will have genuine ownership of the OT/ICS proposition and a significant role in determining its commercial and technical direction. It's a particularly good fit for someone who has previously built an OT/ICS practice or service line, enjoys the combination of consulting, leadership and commercial strategy, and wants the autonomy to build something substantial.
