Requirements
- Strong hands‑on experience administering and supporting Microsoft technologies, including Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Intune, Share Point, One Drive and Sophos.
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud services, including the design, deployment and management of cloud‑based infrastructure and Azure Backup solutions.
- Solid networking expertise covering TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing and switching, VPNs, firewalls, WAN connectivity and wireless networks.
- Proven experience managing and maintaining VMware v Sphere/ESXi environments.
- Experience with Veeam Backup & Replication and implementing robust backup and disaster recovery strategies.
- Proficiency in Power Shell scripting for automation, administration and operational efficiency.
- Relevant industry certifications in Microsoft, Azure, Networking or Cyber Security would be highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of our infrastructure estate, ensuring the ongoing reliability, performance and strategic development of both cloud and on‑premise technologies.
- Oversee the administration, maintenance and continuous improvement of Microsoft Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Microsoft 365 and associated services.
- Design, implement and support robust backup, disaster recovery and business continuity frameworks to safeguard critical business systems.
- Spearhead and deliver infrastructure enhancement projects, including cloud migrations, system upgrades, technology refreshes and platform modernisation initiatives.
- Act as the senior technical escalation point for complex infrastructure issues, providing expert 3rd line support and troubleshooting.
- Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders, technology partners and third‑party suppliers to ensure the successful delivery of IT services.
- Contribute to infrastructure strategy, technical roadmaps and continuous service improvement, helping to shape our future technology landscape.
