IT & Cyber Risk Consultant – Hybrid (Hayes HQ 1 or 2 Days PM) – £60k-£80k Base + Bonus + Benefits – OTE circa £90k-£95k

• Job Title: IT & Cyber Risk Consultant
• Location: Hybrid – Mostly remote, 1-2 days/week in Hayes, Middlesex, UK
• Salary: £60,000 – £80,000
• Total Package: circa £90,000 – £95,000 (including bonus and benefits)
• Employment: Full-time, Permanent

Responsibilities

• Identify, quantify, and communicate cyber and information risks across various systems including cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.
• Translate complex threat, vulnerability, and impact scenarios into clear insights for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Support compliance with standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, SOC2, CAF, Cyber Essentials, and PCI DSS.
• Collaborate with technical teams to challenge risk assumptions constructively.
• Engage stakeholders to ensure risk appetite is understood and reflected in recommendations.
• Contribute to strategic security planning, not just documentation.

Ideal Candidate

• Proven experience in Cyber and Information Risk, with ability to relate risks to business impact.
• Familiarity with risk frameworks like ISO 27001, NIST, SOC2, CAF, Cyber Essentials, PCI DSS.
• Technical grounding to ask the right questions and engage technical teams credibly.
• Strong communication skills for reports and stakeholder engagement.
• Collaborative, strategic mindset; ex-Forces background preferred (e.g., RAF, Royal Signals).
