Requirements
- Strong experience with AI engineering or software engineering, including languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript, and frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
- Experience with RAG and LLM-based solutions
- Solid understanding of AI architectures and data pipelines
- Knowledge of security, compliance, and governance principles from a development perspective
- Proven mentoring and team development capabilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strategic, hands-on approach with a focus on delivery
- Full right to work in the UK
- Ability to live within commuting distance of Cardiff
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and deployment of AI-powered tools to improve efficiency and productivity
- Design advanced solutions including automation, RAG, and LLM-based workflows
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and deliver strategic AI initiatives that deliver measurable business value
- Provide guidance on AI architecture, tooling, and technology direction
- Ensure systems are secure, scalable, and compliant with governance standards
- Monitor performance and continuously optimise AI systems
- Mentor and develop a small team of engineers while promoting best practices
