Business Development Representative (Cyber Security) – UK Wide
Up to 80k (DOE) + Bonus

A very exciting and unusual role. Our client is a fast-growing cyber security and compliance provider, and we\’re on the hunt for a Business Development Representative with experience selling cyber security services to amplify their brand and help them stay ahead in the market. Collaborating with marketing and business development teams, you will take the lead on multi-touch targeted outreach, increasing our client\’s visibility and providing information on their services for future closure. This role is not about quick wins or focusing on closing deals – it is more about the long-game and building initial connections with prospects and developing relationships.

You will be the key point of contact for prospects so we\’re looking for someone who is excellent at communicating and thrives on customer interactions, who is calm, consistent, measured and reliable in their responses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify and engage with potential clients through tailored multi-touch outreach strategies (email, LinkedIn, cold calls, and social selling).
  • Generate and qualify leads to build a strong pipeline for the sales team.
  • Understand customer needs and challenges, offering practical solutions that align with the company\’s capabilities.
  • Conduct initial discovery calls to understand prospects\’ needs and pain points.
  • Develop and execute personalized outreach campaigns to stay on the radar of high-potential prospects and nurture initial relationships to ensure long-term engagement. You will keep prospects informed about relevant products, services, and opportunities that could benefit them.
  • Leverage CRM tools to track and manage lead interactions, ensuring timely follow-ups.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to refine messaging and optimize outreach strategies.
  • Continuously test and iterate outreach methods to improve engagement rates and conversion.

What We\’re Looking For:

  • 3+ years of experience in business development / sales with experience selling cyber security services (e.g., SOC / Managed D&R, Pentesting, GRC consulting, security training etc.)
  • Proven strong business development and lead generation skills.
  • A confident communicator who enjoys building and maintaining relationships.
  • Excellent English communication skills (both written and spoken).
  • The ability to listen, understand, and provide thoughtful recommendations.
  • Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to managing customer relationships.
  • A creative, strategic thinker who can personalize outreach and adapt to different buyer personas.
  • A friendly, approachable, and professional attitude.
