We're looking for a driven and ambitious Business Development Manager to join our cyber security client's growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with B2B sales experience who is looking to take the next step in their career and be rewarded for strong performance. This role will focus on generating new business both directly with end customers and through channel partners, and owning the full sales cycle through to closure. You'll be confident picking up the phone, comfortable with cold calling, and excited about building relationships across multiple routes to market.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in target markets.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to consistently attract new clients and channel partners.
- Proactively reach out to potential clients via cold calls, emails, and networking events to build and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities.
- Arrange and lead both face-to-face and virtual client meetings.
- Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact through to deal closure, negotiating commercial terms and contracts to optimise margins.
- Establish and grow relationships with new clients to ensure long-term satisfaction, identifying opportunities for cross-selling and account expansion.
- Representing our client's brand in a professional, consultative manner to customers and partners alike.
Requirements:
- Proven track record (2-3+ years) in B2B sales, business development, or solution-based selling, with experience selling tech services (ideally within cyber security).
- Excellent written and spoken communication and strong negotiation skills with a consultative sales approach.
- Proactive on outreach - you will need to be actively seeking new business and very confident with cold calling.
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, target-driven environment, as well as collaborating with colleagues and potentially mentoring junior sales consultants.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills, including use of CRM.
- Professional, confident, and capable of building rapport at all levels.
