We are currently looking for a System Optimisation Lead for our government client. The full-time role is hybrid, based between 3 days per week on site, and the remainder of the week working remotely. Office locations include London or Leeds, as preferred. The contract for this position is for 6 months, with potential to extend, operating inside IR35.

Essential Skills / Experience required:

  • Experience in user acceptance testing, scaling up adoption, and can host training workshops & refresher workshops.
  • Experience in organisational design, transformation or change.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading technology-driven change or large-scale system implementations.
  • Experience delivering user training, coaching, and guidance on system functionality and best practices.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.

Desirable:

  • Experience working within Public Sector.
  • Orgvue knowledge and experience.

Role / Responsibilities:

  • Support, implement, configure, and optimise business-critical systems across a range of transformation initiatives.
  • Responsible for system functionality, working closely with business stakeholders, third-party vendors, and internal teams to ensure systems are operating effectively and delivering maximum value.
  • Provide training, guidance, and support to users and colleagues on system capabilities and best practices.
  • Lead the implementation, configuration, and ongoing support of enterprise systems and applications.
  • Perform system upgrades, updates, patching activities, and configuration changes to ensure platforms remain secure and optimised.
  • Act as the technical subject matter expert for assigned systems, providing guidance and best practice recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve system issues across both front-end and back-end environments.
  • Liaise directly with third-party vendors and software providers to manage incidents, resolve technical issues, and maximise system functionality.
  • Review and optimise system performance, configurations, workflows, and integrations to improve user experience and operational efficiency.
  • Support testing activities, including system, integration, user acceptance, and post-implementation testing.
  • Deliver training, coaching, and user support to colleagues and business users to improve adoption and utilisation of system functionality.
  • Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, technical teams, suppliers, and programme delivery teams.
  • Provide regular reporting, updates, and management information to stakeholders and project teams.
