We are looking for an experienced Lead Case Management Developer to lead the development and delivery of solutions within our client's legal technology ecosystem, with a particular focus on a migration to a new case management system. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Lead Developer / Manager to play a key role in leading a development team, driving technical excellence, and delivering innovative solutions that improve how the legal business operates. This will be a 6 - 12 month contract with potential to extend.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience developing solutions within the case management development i.e. VisualFiles, SOS Connect, P4W, ShareDO, Actionstep, Proclaim etc.
- Must have experience in migrating from one case management system to another.
- Previous experience managing or leading a software development team - OR - Informal leadership experience such as mentoring developers, leading projects or acting as technical lead.
- Excellent understanding of legal technology and law firm workflows.
- Experience delivering system, data, workflow, and process migrations between enterprise platforms.
- Solid understanding of software architecture and technical design.
- Experience managing third-party suppliers and technology partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the software development function, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to agreed quality standards.
- Oversee the design, development, support, and continuous improvement of enterprise applications.
- Own the technical roadmap for case management development and integrations during a case management system migration.
- Design, build and maintain custom workflows, automations and integrations within the new case management platform.
- Work closely with legal stakeholders and business teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Promote best practice across software development, testing, security and documentation.
- Drive continuous improvement in development processes and Agile delivery.
- Ensure solutions are scalable, reliable and aligned with business objectives.
