Permanent full‑time position, 37.5 hours per week with rotating shifts covering days and nights. Salary: Up to £28,705.43 per year, depending on experience, training and qualification. The role requires a flexible shift pattern and availability to work between 22:00 and 06:00.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a first‑class decontamination sterile service to operating theatres, clinical departments and relevant paramedical areas.
  • Assist in decontamination, checking, assembly, packing, sterilisation and delivery of medical and surgical equipment and sundry items.
  • Maintain good working relationships with all customers.
  • Promote and maintain health & safety within the department.
  • Ensure all equipment is maintained to the required safety standard, reporting any faults to the Team Leader or Manager.
  • Assist Team Leaders in liaising with departments to ensure supply of items is maintained.
  • Maintain accepted health and safety requirements for the protection of staff and visitors.
  • Comply with all relevant mandatory training.
