Our Home Division is growing, and we’re looking for skilled and motivated Fibre Engineers to help deliver high-quality fibre networks for residential customers on major contracts, including Openreach and client-specific networks.

Accreditations (Desirable):

  • SA001, SA002
  • NRSWA (Unit 2 – Signing, Lighting & Guarding)
  • IPAF 1b
  • Openreach-related accreditations (e.g. S7, S8, N23, N27, N28, K8)

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Installing, servicing and maintaining FTTP/FTTH fibre networks and CPE
  • Carrying out overhead and underground fibre installations using Openreach PIA and client-specific networks
  • Splicing and testing fibre within acceptable loss limits
  • Using and maintaining equipment including works tablets, fibre splicing machines, power meters, fibre identifiers and microscopes
  • Working from job packs and build plans to deliver work safely, efficiently and right-first-time
  • Completing fibre blowing, cabling, backfill and reinstatement works within customer boundaries
  • Ensuring signing, lighting and guarding meet NRSWA and street works requirements
  • Delivering a professional, customer-focused service at all times
  • Accurately completing daily progress reports and required documentation
  • Following all health, safety, quality and incident reporting procedures
  • Supporting junior engineers and setting the standard for quality and safe working

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in a fibre or telecoms engineering environment (or a strong desire to learn)
  • Knowledge of FTTP / FTTH technologies
  • Experience or understanding of fibre splicing and testing
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Confident working at heights (up to approximately 15 metres)
  • Strong attention to detail with a right-first-time mindset
  • Friendly, professional and customer-focused approach
  • Confident using smartphones or tablets for work instructions
  • Full UK manual driving licence (minimum 12 months, max 6 points)
  • Must have the legal right to work in the UK. Please note, we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.
