- Identify gaps in capability, capacity, geography and technical competence and proactively source new suppliers to address these
- Establish a pipeline of suitably qualified subcontractors capable of supporting growth across Circet Energy’s target markets
- Accelerate supplier onboarding while maintaining the required commercial, technical, safety, quality and compliance standards
- Strengthen existing supplier relationships and develop strategic partnerships with key subcontractors
- Consolidate spend and leverage Circet Group buying power to achieve improved economies of scale, competitive pricing and stronger commercial terms
- Benchmark subcontractor pricing and challenge costs to ensure Circet remains competitive in its target markets
- Work closely with Commercial and Operations teams to ensure appropriate supply chain solutions are available before bids are submitted
- Support tendering and framework submissions through the provision of supply chain intelligence, quotations, capacity commitments and delivery strategies
- Develop supplier performance management processes covering safety, quality, programme, commercial performance and productivity
- Work with suppliers to improve performance and raise technical and operational standards
- Identify opportunities to upskill existing supply chain partners so they can support a broader range of Energy activities
- Support the transition from subcontract-led delivery towards increased direct delivery by identifying activities, competencies and resources that should progressively be brought in-house
- Develop strong market intelligence around supplier availability, labour constraints, pricing trends and emerging supply chain risks
- Maintain a resilient supply chain with appropriate alternatives for strategically important work packages
Knowledge & Skills Requirements
- Strong knowledge of the UK construction and infrastructure supply chain, ideally with significant exposure to energy/ electrical supply chain
- A good understanding of electrical infrastructure and the contractors operating within the UK market
- Experience sourcing, negotiating with, onboarding and managing subcontractors
- Strong commercial awareness and experience achieving competitive market pricing
- Experience developing strategic supplier relationships and leveraging spend across multiple business units or projects
- An understanding of subcontractor capability assessment, assurance, compliance and performance management

- Stronger strategic relationships with key supply chain partners
