Circet UK is seeking skilled and motivated Poling Operatives to join our operations across Scotland. This field‑based role plays a key part in the construction and maintenance of the Openreach network, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. Reporting into the Field Operations team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and renewing poles and overhead infrastructure, while ensuring full compliance with health & safety and client requirements.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Install and remove poles, including dressing new poles
- Replace and renew existing drop wires
- Replace and renew overhead and underground joints within the Openreach fibre and copper network
- Complete all works in line with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
- Carry out works in accordance with Health & Safety legislation and Circet and client standards
- Accurately document, check, and maintain records of completed works using digital devices
Experience
- Experience working as a Poling Operative or in a similar telecoms field role
- Pole Erection Unit and HIAB experience
- Understanding of Openreach network infrastructure
Skills & Attributes
- Self‑motivated with the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Strong awareness of site health & safety processes and procedures
- Comfortable using tablets and digital systems for job updates
- Reliable, safety‑focused and quality‑driven approach
Qualifications & Certifications
- Full NRSWA Street Works qualifications at Operative level (including CAT & Genny)
- Full UK driving licence (HGV Class 2 required for at least one member per crew)
- Relevant PIA and Openreach accreditations (desirable)
- Full UK right to work
