Circet UK is seeking a skilled and proactive Electrical Design Engineer to support the delivery of high‑quality electrical designs for wireless telecommunications upgrades across major operator networks. This role reports to the Electrical Design Manager and focuses on producing accurate, safe and compliant electrical design solutions in line with client and industry standards. You’ll be at the forefront of delivering essential infrastructure upgrades, contributing to Circet’s wireless design capability while maintaining a safety‑first culture across all operations.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Producing electrical designs and reports using dedicated software in line with MBNL, CTIL, Cellnex, and client specifications.
- Interpreting proposed solutions into outline and detailed electrical design drawings.
- Reviewing drawings for technical accuracy, buildability and safety compliance.
- Supporting project managers and the wider design team with design inputs, documentation and technical queries.
- Maintaining internal and client systems to ensure accurate tracking of work progress and milestones.
- Liaising closely with the Electrical Build Manager and site teams during the build phase to resolve technical questions and minimise delays.
- Assisting with updating and maintaining internal libraries of technical documentation, standards and specifications.
- Supporting the specification and ordering of materials and equipment for electrical build works.
What You’ll Need
Experience
- Minimum 3‑5 years’ experience in electrical design.
- Experience in telecoms, utilities, construction or related engineering environments (telecoms experience preferred).
- Experience using electrical design software and reviewing technical drawings.
- Exposure to NICEIC requirements or similar regulatory frameworks (advantageous).
Skills & Attributes
- Strong understanding of electrical installation standards and safety requirements.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and produce accurate design documentation.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines.
- Effective communicator able to support engineers, project managers and site teams.
- A collaborative team player with a proactive, problem‑solving approach.
Qualifications & Certifications
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering / Electrical Design.
- NICEIC‑related training or comparable electrical safety certification (advantageous).
- Full UK driving licence (preferred).
