Civils Operative – Circet UK
Dunfermline & Surrounding Areas | Full-Time | Reports to Civils Supervisor
Circet UK are currently hiring experienced Civils Operatives to join our growing team in Dunfermline and the surrounding areas. We\’re looking for hardworking, reliable, and safety-focused crew members for long‑term work, delivering high‑quality civils and telecoms infrastructure projects across the region.
What You\’ll Be Doing
- Carry out excavations, repairs, and reinstatements to the highest standards.
- Install ducting, chambers, cabinets, and associated equipment.
- Locate and clear blockages in various surface types (verge, footway, carriageway).
- Reinstate surfaces in line with Purple Book and Local Authority standards.
- Build boxes/chambers and perform open‑cut trenching for new duct installations.
- Sub‑duct and install new draw rope or cable as required.
- Complete all job sheets, risk assessments, and daily checks using company tablets.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and maintain strong health & safety awareness.
- Take responsibility for company assets, tools, and plant assigned to your duties.
- Ensure compliance with client and company procedures at all times.
What You\’ll Need
Experience & Knowledge
- Proven experience in a civils or telecoms environment.
- Working knowledge of reinstatement and excavation in various surface types.
- Strong understanding of health & safety in a site-based environment.
- Experience using digital devices (iPad or tablet) for job documentation.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Full UK driving licence with at least 1 year\’s driving experience.
- C + E (CE / C1E) licence – desirable.
- Desirable tickets: First Aid, Abrasive Wheels, 360, LUGS, SLG.
