We are hiring! Circet UK is seeking experienced Overhead Line Workers to join our Power division. This role involves the maintenance, repair, and renewal of overhead line equipment and associated power supply systems. You will work as part of a dynamic team, ensuring all tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities of the Overhead Line Worker:
- Carry out maintenance, repair, refurbishment, and installation of overhead lines as directed.
- Work at height on poles and towers safely and professionally, using MEWPs when required.
- Ensure all works comply with current health and safety legislation, relevant standards, and company procedures.
- Interface with chargehand, site supervisors, and client representatives to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Complete all allocated work pack documentation accurately and submit within required timeframes.
- Report near misses and good catches promptly.
- Use all equipment necessary for overhead line work as detailed in the OHL manual.
- Take responsibility when working on customer property, maintaining professionalism and care.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Knowledge & Skills Requirements:
- Experience of construction and maintenance of overhead lines up to and including 132kV.
- Current DNO authorisation up to and including 132kV.
- UK driving licence.
- NPG Authorisation (preferred, not essential).
- Pole Top Rescue certificate.
- Manual Handling certificate.
- Strong understanding of project health and safety requirements.
- High attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions.
- Basic customer service skills and professional conduct.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.

Additional Information:
- This role will require regular travel, with overnight stays in accommodation provided along with allowances for board.
- A Full UK Driverβs License is required, with access to your own vehicle for travel to satellite offices across the region.
- This is a team-based position, 3 engineers and 1 Chargehand will travel together in a company vehicle to sites across the region.
- 50hr working week, standard + paid at hourly rate.
- Weekend work will be required, Saturday is paid at hourly rate, Sunday is paid at 2x hourly rate.
- Daily bonuses are available dependent on productivity.
- You will also participate in a standby rota for emergency call outs across the region, with additional compensation included to be discussed at interview stage.
